Biography

Jacqueline Morris holds a Bachelor of Science in political science (University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign), Master of Arts in education (Saint Xavier University), and Master of Arts in education administration (Concordia University). Morris is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in education administration (Loyola University).  She returns to Saint Xavier University with 22 years of experience as a school administrator and educator with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and years of leadership experience in career readiness programming in the non-profit sector. As director of the Career Development Center at SXU, Morris is committed to and responsible for coordinating efforts to provide programs and activities to challenge students to make informed career pathway decisions; developing students by exposing them to experiential learning opportunities through job shadowing, internships, externships, and full-time positions; and ultimately championing students to curate a set of career readiness competencies to be competitive in the career world. These efforts also include collaborating with faculty and employer clients in fostering a career readiness environment with a focus on career identification and search aligning with employment opportunities and formal academic pursuits.

In her spare time, she can be found crocheting, sewing, singing, baking, and playing Scrabble/Words With Friends.
